Mr. James S. Hong was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989 and is licensed to practice before the California Supreme Court and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Hong began practicing immigration and deportation law in 1989. Mr. Hong’s legal expertise covers immigration, deportation, wrongful death, personal injury, and criminal litigations. He is the Firm’s principal litigator, and he has successfully tried numerous complex deportation and litigation cases including acquitting a defendant in a murder trial. Mr. Hong prides himself in focusing on each client’s individual needs and circumstances and striving to provide the best legal service possible.

Ms. Janet Kim is an Associate with the Law Offices of James Hong, practicing in all areas of immigration law, but focuses on investment-based nonimmigrant visas (E-2) and self-petitioned employment-based immigrant visas (National Interest Waiver). Ms. Kim joined the Law Offices of James Hong in September 2021. Prior to joining the Law Offices of James Hong, Ms. Kim worked as a U.S. Foreign Legal Consultant at U.S. Immigration Consulting Firms in Seoul, South Korea for many years.

Her legal expertise and experience combined with her deep understanding of her clients’ needs are the essential elements necessary for effective legal representation in all aspects of immigration law.

Ms. Jaeyoung Park was admitted to the California State Bar in 2018 and is licensed to practice before the California Supreme Court and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Park has been a Junior Partner at the Law Offices of James Hong since August 2022. She first joined the Law Offices of James Hong in August 2018. Prior to joining the Law Offices of James Hong, Ms. Park worked as a paralegal at a boutique law firm in Miami, Florida while studying at law school.

She practices in all areas of immigration law, but focuses primarily on federal immigration litigation, deportation defense, employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, and other complex cases before EOIR and USCIS. Ms. Park has a passion for immigration law and makes differences in her clients’ lives.
